The Teen Speaking Skills summer 2012 teen & pre-teen graduates will compete in two persuasive charity speech contests this Saturday at Taste of Italy in San Diego. The students will celebrate the completion of an eight week speech and leadership skills course as they showcase their public speaking skills.
The speech contests will be held on the patio at Taste of Italy in Del Mar. The pre-teen speech contest will begin at 1:15 p.m. and the teen contest will begin at 2:45 p.m. Each contest will last approximately 30 minutes.
The winner of each speech contest will earn a donation for his or her charity. In less than 2 years, Teen Speaking Skills graduates have raised money to support 18 different charities! These young San Diego students confidently use their communication skills to create positive change in their communities.
