Gifts may be most commonly given around the holidays in December, but Teen Speaking Skills is continuing the tradition of giving gifts to others through January and February this year as well.
Three lucky parents won an entire 8 week course for their child to participate in one of our winter 2013 public speaking skills classes held at the Hampton Inn Del Mar in San Diego. Each course includes 8 one hour sessions. The children have fun as they develop and enhance their confidence, leadership, and public speaking skills.
Our young speaking skills graduates are not only more confident, but they can also communicate their ideas more clearly, concisely, and effectively. Many of our San Diego students have shared their organizational skills, writing skills, and presentation skills have improved as well.
Through fun, interactive meetings the students develop their public speaking and leadership skills as they take responsibility for leading different parts of the meeting. Most importantly, the students learn their opinions matter and their voice is a powerful they can use to make a positive difference in our world.
In addition to our free course raffles held at the Torrey Hills Book Exchange and the SCORE Women’s Networking Breakfast for our level one public speaking skills courses, we also held our first 2 contests on Facebook in January.
One lucky parent won a free 8 week advanced public speaking skills course for his son. During our 2nd contest on Facebook, we gave away a free private one hour coaching session with Teen Speaking Skills President & Founder Kathleen Petrone.
