Teen Speaking Skills Students Compete in the Annual Lions Club and Optimist Club Speech Contests in San Diego

Encinitas Lions Club Speech Contest

Austin Zhang Wins 1st Place!

Several Teen Speaking Skills graduates recently showcased their public speaking skills as they competed in the Encinitas Lions Club Speech Contest in San Diego. The contest was held at the Encinitas Community Center on Feb. 10, 2013.

Congratulations to Teen Speaking Skills Masters Level Graduate Austin Zhang for winning 1st place and $75 in the Encinitas Lions Club Speech Contest! Austin will advance to the next level of the competition, the Coast Zone, on March 9, 2013. The Lions Club Coast Zone Speech Contest will be held at the Mission Library Branch in Oceanside. Best of luck, Austin!

Several other Teen Speaking Skills graduates will also showcase their public speaking skills in San Diego on March 9, 2013 as they compete in the Del Mar Solana Beach Optimist Club’s Speech Contest. Good luck, Teen Speaking Skills graduates!

The fun of competing isn’t just for students! San Diego Toastmaster and Teen Speaking Skills President & Founder Kathleen Petrone is also competing this season in the Toastmasters International Speech Contest. She has already won 2nd place in the Excelsior Toastmasters Speech Contest held on March 5, 2013 and will compete again next Tuesday at Torrey Pines Toastmasters.
