It’s all fun and games! That’s the theme for this year’s speech contest at the San Diego County Fair. This is a fantastic opportunity for students in San Diego to showcase their public speaking skills as they creatively express themselves.
Competing in speech contests is an excellent way for your child to improve his or her public speaking skills, have fun, and win prize money! There are 3 separate speech contests with prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
The prizes are $300 for 1st place, $225 for 2nd place, and $150 for 3rd place. The 3 contest divisions are based upon your child’s grade level; K-5, 6th-8th, and 9th-12th.
The San Diego County Fair Speech Contest will be held on Sunday, June 9, 2013. There is a $10 entry fee, which includes admission to the fair for one child and one family member.
