Public Speaking Coach Kathleen Petrone presented a public speaking seminar for the Miss Poway pageant contestants on February 21, 2016. Kathleen’s powerful public speaking presentation teaches pageant contestants essential tips for effective communication.
Pageant contestants learn about the three parts of communication so they can avoid making common mistakes. Contestants also learn about the importance of first impressions and how to make an excellent first impression on pageant judges when they share their introduction speeches.
Presentation tips include techniques for having a powerful presence, sharing an award winning smile, and making excellent eye contact. As the title of Kathleen’s first book reminds us, “Confidence is Key!”
Pageant contestants learn numerous strategies for success. They also have the opportunity to meet with Kathleen individually for a public speaking coaching session to plan and practice their one minute introduction speech for the judges.
Pageant contestants benefit not only from Kathleen’s years of experience as a professional public speaking coach and a former classroom teacher, but also because she has been a contestant and a judge for numerous speech contests and pageants.
